After a year of being abroad in Brazil I decided to embark on yet another journey, which is spending my summer interning with Academia Manhattan in Villanueva de Cordoba.
My first week in Villanueva was amazing. I am enjoying every bit of it since it is completely different from the scenery that I was used to in Brazil. My host family is extremely sweet and welcoming, I feel part of the family!
Interning has been extremely fun! The first few days were a bit crazy because I honestly had no idea what I was doing—like any intern, but with a some help from the other interns (Veronika, Mads, Elise, Jill, and Jo) I now feel comfortable leading English classes! The part I enjoy the most in creating lesson plans for the kiddos i.e word search, & bingo, they get so excited and competitive!
To say the least, I am enjoying the Spaniard lifestyle: daily siestas, amazing cuisine and delicious tinto de verano minus the ridiculous heat.
